DDB Group Hong Kong strengthens global business unit with two hires

Creative advertising agency DDB Group Hong Kong has beefed up its international business team with two new appointments. Jamal Hamidi is now named as executive creative director for global business, and Justin Bonnett in a dual role as head of DDB Live, the agency’s brand activation and experiential marketing arm, and business director for international business.Hamidi returns to DDB Group Hong Kong following an earlier stint with digital specialist arm Tribal Worldwide Hong Kong. He comes onboard from an ECD post at Edelman Australia where he spent the past almost four years spearheading the group’s creative offering across a wide range of industries, for clients such as Samsung, Paypal, KFC, Telstra, Nivea and Kimberly Clark.Bonnett joins from his role as vice president business director at Jack Morton Worldwide in Hong Kong, where he worked on revered brands like Audi, Marriott Hotels, Sands China and Tesla. Prior to Jack Morton, Bonnett spent time as Director at Uniplan in Hong Kong, and commercial director at Connexion over four years in Brussels, managing international sponsorship campaigns for brands like Porsche, Rolex, Electrolux, UBS and the London 2012 Olympics."Having both worked and lived in a number of different countries across the world, Jamal and Justin bring a large global footprint and many years’ experience to the agency," said Peter Rodenbeck, regional vice president at DDB Group Hong Kong.
