Home furnishing retailer Courts Singapore has consolidated its public relations business and handed the account to Citigate.
Under the previous model, Citigate was tasked with handling financial PR for the retailer while Fulford Public Relations handled lifestyle and sponsorship PR. The contract with Citigate is for one and a half years on a retainer basis.
Fulford PR was last appointed by Courtsin July as its agency of record and the contract runs until February this year. Fulford PR was tasked with helping Courts to elevate the retailer’s profile amongst namely the corporate, community and sports segments.
This included planning out events for existing stores as well as charity activities. The agency was also involved in Courts’ media activities such as its expansion plan announcement and promotion of Peter Schmeichel as the new ambassador. Fulford PR has been working with Courts Singapore since November 2011.
“Earlier this year we decided to consolidate all our PR work with one agency, as we believe there will be greater synergies aligning our focus and work with only one agency. We are very grateful to Fulford PR for the support extended to us by the team over the years,” Tammy Teo, regional head of strategy and communications at Courts told Marketing.
Teo also recently came on board to take up the role, formerly working as marketing activation lead of SEA and Oceania of Sony Mobile Communications.
