Compass Visa to reward loyalty online

To cater to the influx of online retailers, Compass Visa debut its eMALL platform – an online shopping guide that is divided into various floors like an actual mall.On the top floor are deals from its in-house eSHOP, next are good online deals from third-party suppliers like Taobao and German Pool; a list of discounts for other online retailers; and finally, an advice column for shoppers with tips such as credit card safety and frauds.“With more and more consumers jumping online to make purchases, we want to make sure our customers can enjoy all-round offers and best experience whenever they shop online," Bernard Chan, head of Compass Visa, said."It is in our best interest to continue to introduce new reward programs and innovative features to meet online shoppers’ needs."Furthering catering to its digital buyers is a first-time Facebook loyalty programme. For every $500 spent on Taobao Marketplace from now until 31 May, customers are eligible to split a $200,000 Compass Dollar pool – meaning the more participants, the less money divided. The new Facebook campaign, however, gives the campaign a new twist: every 10,000 virtual Likes on the fan page will add an extra $100,000 to the pool. The cap is set at $400,000.Compass Dollars can be used in selected outlets like Park N’ Shop and Broadway Cinemas.“With the objective to increase collaboration and interaction with our fans and add a bit more fun to the programme, we added this 'double up' element into it, so more interaction means more reward plus wider spread of the programme and our brand," said Chan.
