Clorox has appointed FCB Group Malaysia to manage social media duties for Malaysia and Singapore, deepening its relationship with the agency's global network, which began in 2016.According to Clorox's marketing director for Southeast Asia, Paulo Lao, FCB impressed the company with its dual function as a strong regional hub offering both local scale and global reach. “We are excited to collaborate with FCB Kuala Lumpur to maximize our brand in the Southeast Asian market," Lao added.“We are thrilled to have been chosen as Clorox’s social media marketing partner for these important Southeast Asian markets and look forward to helping grow its business and brand together here,” Shaun Tay, co-owner and CEO of the FCB Group Malaysia, said. The agency recently bagged several new clients, including PropertyGuru, UEM Sunrise and Malaysian electrical brand ELBA. It was also appointed to handle advertising and digital work for retail cosmetic brand SASA in April. In January 2018, the agency became fully owned in an equal three-way partnership between Tay, chief creative officer Ong Shi-Ping and CFO Liew Kok Heng. Tay told A+M previously that despite the buyout, the agency remains “very much a part of the FCB Worldwide network” as an affiliate business partner.
