City of Dreams Manila to house first Dreamworks indoor theme park

Melco Crown Philippines Resorts will be developing an indoor theme park in the future City of Dreams Manila in partnership with American animation studio Dreamworks.The planned project is an edutainment center called Dream Play and will be the first of its kind in the world, said Belle Corp chairman Willy Ocier at the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF).Dream Play adds a family-focused component in the integrated gaming resort. Other amenities include a live performance central lounge inside the casino and a night club situated at the Fortune Egg, a design marvel expected to become an iconic landmark in the Manila Bay area.Set to open later this year, City of Dreams Manila will be the second Melco property to carry the brand name, the first of which is located in Macau. It will have six hotel towers from three hotel brands such as Nobu Hotel, Crown Towers and Grand Hyatt.Last month, Melco kicked off a recruitment campaign to fill up to 5,000 job vacancies for City of Dreams Manila – an indication of the scale of the massive project and the dozens of brands that will soon fill its halls.
