Cigna has partnered with World Rugby Sevens Series for a HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series tournament sponsorship campaign.
The partnership will see Cigna launch fan activations and hospitality programmes in tournament host cities around the world as part of the sponsorship campaign. It will be aimed at increasing awareness about both mental and physical wellbeing, sport, and fitness, and to reflect shared values around inclusivity, diversity, and communities.
“As a global health service leader, Cigna is committed to improving the health, well-being, and peace of mind of those we serve. The HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series is an ideal and inspirational platform to help people take control of their own wellness and lead happier and healthier lives,” said Patrick Graham, Asia Pacific CEO at Cigna International Markets.
There are 12 tournaments in this season of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, which kicked off in October 2019 and will end in June 2020. Cigna has supported the Hong Kong Sevens since 2015 as a partner and since 2017, it has been an official sponsor.
Brett Gosper, CEO of World Rugby, commented, “Cigna joins at a very exciting time for rugby sevens with the world series featuring a record number of tournaments and the Tokyo 2020 Olympics on the horizon. We look forward to working with Cigna on continuing to grow the game of rugby sevens and inspire new audiences globally.”
