Cheil Singapore MD Nalla Chan exits

Cheil Singapore's managing director Nalla Chan (pictured) has left the agency. She has been with Cheil for close to a decade. A Cheil Worldwide spokesperson confirmed to Marketing that Chan's role has yet to be replaced.

Chan was involved in launching the social media command centre last year. This was in a bid to provide clients in producing content and campaigns relevant to consumers and positively impact business results in social and data-driven marketing. She told Marketing then that the centre will provide the team a holistic view of the social media landscape, and allows the agency to manage campaigns from end to end.

Most recently, Cheil Worldwide named HP’s global ECD, Jayanta Jenkins, to the newly created position of global ECD for Samsung Mobile. In his new role, he will be overseeing the network’s creative direction for Samsung Mobile Communications global account, while leading a dedicated global team. With over 17 years of experience, Jenkins was previously global group creative director at Twitter and global creative lead at Apple’s Beats by Dre.

According to Cheil, the position was created as its Samsung Mobile global business has grown. Meanwhile, Cheil Worldwide also won Samsung Mobile’s retail experiential app project, while also adding Netflix, TikTok and Epic Games(Fortnite) to its client roster.
