Celevel Butler joins Edelman as SEA MD for integrated brand

Edelman has appointed Celevel Butler as managing director, integrated brand, SEA. According to her LinkedIn, Butler’s key focus will be to build Edelman's next scaled up integrated brand and digital business in Singapore and Southeast Asia.She will also be responsible for integrating teams across brand, advertising, planning, research, creative, digital and experiential, as part of Edelman's evolution and  push to leading the communications marketing globally.As the former general manager at Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore, a role she left in November last year, Butler was responsible for the day-to-day management and expanding the client portfolio into a mix of international and local brands while keeping a multi-cultural talent and employee base engaged and inspired have kept her hands full in recent years.She has worked with brands such as M1, Nokia, O2, HTC, Sony Ericsson, Lenovo, British Airways, Qantas, Singapore Tourism Board, Scoot, InterContinental Hotels Group, Star Cruises, HSBC and FWD throughout her career. Prior to her role as GM, she was regional brand director at Saatchi & Saatchi and has also worked with digital communications company O2 and Y&R.Marketing has reached out to Edelman for more comments.Edelman also recently hired Rupen Desai as executive vice chairman, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APACMEA) effective immediately. Desai was previously APAC regional president for Lowe + Partners and will lead the agency to secure and partner clients across the region.
