Celcom Axiata has launched a network experience campaign called “Guna Celcom“. According to the telco, it used this colloquial phrase as it speaks to Malaysians and is “easily remembered”.
Led by Mohamad Idham Nawawi, CEO of Celcom Axiata, the telco also branded 30 Grab cars with “Guna Celcom” as part of its campaign launch. The telco said it is constantly evolving with technology to enhance its network quality while keeping the best interests of its customers at heart.
A+M has reached out to Celcom for additional information on its marketing efforts.
Last year, the telco appointed Idham Nawawi to the role of CEO, replacing Michael Kuehner who stepped down on 31 August 2018. The succession was part of Celcom’s original plan three years ago, to appoint an internal talent for the next phase of its transformation.
Meanwhile, it also partnered with M&C Saatchi Malaysia to launch a short film, showcasing the beauty of Malaysia’s multi-cultural society and to celebrate all Malaysians for making Malaysia the icon of unity and diversity it is. The campaign was in line with Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day.
