CBS Interactive names Asia team lead

CBS Interactive has appointed Diogo Andrade to the newly created role of Asia team lead. Andrade was last regional account director working on clients across the technology and B2B sectors including HP, EMC, Microsoft and Intel. He was in the role since 2013.Going forward, Andrade (pictured) will continue to head up a sales team of four people, as well, as taking on an expanded role in growing existing client relationships, leading the businesses strategy in the region and building new business across India, Hong Kong and SEA. Andrade’s journey in media and advertising started in Paris, where he worked for Eurosport, before moving to Hong Kong in 2008. Andrade set up the local offices of Komli Media and InMobi, as well as being responsible for the regional digital media sales of the likes of TED.com and Wired.com.CBS Interactive’s B2B properties include ZDNet, TechRepublic, CBS News and Download.com. These B2B properties aim to target IT and Business decision-makers across the APAC region.Andrade said: “The digital advertising space is undergoing huge growth here in Asia and I’m excited to be a part of this by leading a great team here at CBS Interactive. I look forward to continuing to assist our clients reach their target audience in effective and meaningful ways.”CBS Interactive’s APAC sales director, Darren Matthews said: “Along with an effective and charismatic leadership approach; Andrade brings a considerable knowledge of the APAC market and a proven track record of revenue growth to this position.”
