Online shopping platform, Cashback World, has officially launched in Hong Kong, providing an enticing opening offer of up to 5% cash rebates on every customer purchase within selected shops.
After registration, members visiting selected shops, restaurants, and online platforms – who have accumulated HK$120 or above in cash rebates from purchases – will receive cashback every Thursday. The amount will be transferred directly to the member’s registered bank account.
Other than cash rebates, members can also earn shopping points to secure further discounts in future.
Oscar Sousa Marques, regional director APAC of myWorld Hong Kong and Macau, said the company is offering competitive cashback compared with those on offer by credit cards, as they usually provide a rebate rate only up to 2%.
Marques also stated that Cashback World aims to collaborate with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to reach more customers, so they could use the Cashback World programme in their daily lives. The brand is presently working with online travel agents, cosmetic and beauty product providers, F&B brands, and digital product retailers.
Cashback World currently operates in 47 global markets with more than 11 million members. Marques said the company is planning to expand its Malaysian and Singaporean footprint in 2019.
