Marketplace app Carousell has appointed OMD Hong Kong to handle their media duties. Effective immediately, the scope of work involves media planning and buying across select platforms.
The first few campaigns that OMD is working on are centered around increasing brand awareness, app usage and downloads for Carousell.
The Singapore-based startup company was officially launched in Hong Kong in June 2016. According to the release, its transactions increased by over 73% quarter-on-quarter since Q1 2016, and the platform has over 3.2 million listings as of December 2016. Last year in August, the startup has raised US$35 million in a funding round led by Rakuten Ventures.
