Andrew Butcher will step in as publishing director of Time and Fortune Asia Pacific from next week to oversee regional advertising and marketing across both titles.
His role consolidates outgoing Time Asia publisher Alan Lammin and Bernie Newell, Time magazine’s regional director for Australia and New Zealand who resigned earlier this year.
Based in Singapore, he will travel extensively to manage the group’s local advertising offices in Hong Kong, Sydney and Auckland as well as the extensive network of third party sales representatives throughout the region.
Butcher holds more than 20 years of sales experience in the region and has led the independent media sales industry in Asia for the last four years as the founding partner of Butcher & Partners.
Prior to founding B&P, he was a senior publishing executive with Time Inc and has served as publisher of Fortune in Asia and president of Time and Fortune International.
