Bupa Global has appointed Angus Slater as its general manager for Bupa Global Asia Pacific (BGAPAC).
In his new role, Slater will be tasked with bringing together the company’s Greater China and South East Asia regions, to help deliver a more regional approach to product design and sales across the Asia Pacific geography. The new GM said he will focus on establishing key broker relationships in the Asia Pacific region.
“I’m looking forward to further developing our customer propositions and key distributor relationships across the region. This will help to establish Bupa Global as the leading provider of premium global health insurance products and services in these regions and worldwide,” he said.
Slater has been leading the Bupa Global Greater China (BGGC) region on an interim basis since February 2017, whilst also maintaining his role of sales and commercial director for Bupa Hong Kong. Prior to this, Angus was marketing director for Bupa Global based in London. Before joining Bupa, Slater held senior leadership roles with Vodafone and Accenture.
“I am therefore delighted to welcome Angus into this role – this appointment is a natural fit for Bupa Global and Angus will bring invaluable perspective to how we grow and continue to meet the health and wellbeing needs of our customers,” said Sheldon Kenton, Bupa Global’s managing director.
