BMW picks the PR Element for Shorties 2011

BMW Group Malaysia has appointed The PR Element, a division of the XPR Group, as its public relations agency for BMW Shorties 2011.The agency is appointed to oversee all public relations and social media activities for Malaysia's longest running Short Film Competition.The campaign for the BMW Shorties 2011 would be facilitated by the agency through a comprehensive PR programme encompassing both online and offline communications opportunities."The PR Element was appointed for the BMW Shorties based on their expertise, insight and passion for the initiative. The quality of the account servicing team and the imaginative ideas brought to the table for this project also provides a comprehensive communications approach which is very much needed for its success this year," Sashi Ambi, corporate communications manager of BMW Group Malaysia, said.Sashi Ambi, corporate communications manager of BMW Group Malaysia said the short film competition has always provided participants and award winners the opportunity to explore their passion and creativity and given them a genuine, practical step into the world of film making."With our proposal we sought to identify additional means through which the joy of short film could be further communicated so as to elicit interests and reactions from an even wider range of Malaysians than ever before and to provide the fifth edition of this fantastic cultural engagement activity with a commemoration to be remembered," Nahri Salim, account director, XPR Group Malaysia said.The agency has already begun a series of media and community outreach activities to promote the Joy of short film making to communities throughout the country with the official launch of BMW Shorties 2011 earlier this month.
