Bloomberg names APAC media marketing and events head

Bloomberg Media has named Serene Chew as head of media marketing and live events for the Asia-Pacific region.

In her expanded role, Chew will be responsible for consumer marketing and live events in addition to her current role at Bloomberg Media covering trade marketing, client solutions and activation in Asia.

For the Bloomberg live events business, she will oversee strategy, development, design and execution for its events and conference business across the region.

Chew has almost 20 years of experience in media marketing and advertising sales development, with seven years in Bloomberg Media.

“We have been successfully broadening our business audience in the region with a mix of strategic partnerships and great content, and I’m confident Serene will be able to extend her experience to benefit both the consumer marketing and events space,” said Parry Ravindranathan, managing director of international for Bloomberg Media Group

Chew said, “As Bloomberg Media continues to expand our coverage of business news across multiple media platforms, we have a unique opportunity with Bloomberg live to create defining event experiences. I look forward to bringing the full spectrum of Bloomberg’s resources to bear and growing the live events business in Asia.”
