Blis, the location-based advertising technology company appointed Bill Demas as chairman of the board.
Demas joins Blis after serving six years as president and CEO of Turn, one of the largest global independent programmatic advertising technology platforms across display, mobile, video, and social advertising.
At Turn, Demas helped invent two new digital marketing software categories – demand-side platforms [DSP] for media execution, and data management platforms [DMP] for audience targeting and segmentation – disrupting the traditional ad network model. Prior to Turn, Demas held senior executive roles at Overture, Yahoo, Microsoft and IBM.
“Location-informed advertising is set to drive digital marketing into the next era and promises much in the way of deeper audience insights and personalised consumer messaging. I believe Blis is well positioned to capitalize on this huge opportunity,” Demas said.
Since launching in London, Blis has grown rapidly in over 50 markets from eight offices throughout APAC and EMEA. The company recently announced a major $25million Series B funding round.
