Following a strong year of growth Fleishman-Hillard has hired Napoleon Biggs, founder of Palava Digital and Web Wednesday, as vice president of digital integration in Asia Pacific. As expected, Biggs broke the news of his position on his blog, saying that after 12 years of a "rollercoaster life of internet start-ups", he has decided to suit up and take on a new challenge. He reports to both Lynne Anne Davis, regional president of Fleishman-Hillard Asia Pacific and will work closely with senior VP and MD, Tarun Deo. Joanne Wong, MD & senior partner for client services Asia Pacific, said the agency has been successful in building a foundation for digital capabilities and they have been on the lookout for a suitable candidate that has deep digital capabilities, track record and Asian experience to take over the digital business to the next level.Wong said Biggs' solid track record and background speaks for itself and he is the ideal candidate to build digital solutions for clients. She said clients are no longer satisfied with just a PR offering as they want a total solution."It's about integration," she added. She said that Bigg's digital background will play a very important role in working together with the PR team to provide a total solution for its clients in the region. Biggs will continue to host Web Wednesday and help further the digital sector."The best part of this new position is that I can continue to be a pioneer in the digital sphere, but with the support of a global network of talented communication specialists," he said via his Web Wednesday blog.
