Mawarni Adam (pictured), Berjaya Sompo Insurance’s head of brand, marketing communications and customer experience, has taken on the dual role of regional brand and PR advisor for Sompo Holdings (Asia). This comes approximately two months after she added customer experience to her list of responsibilities in March, seeing her team grow from eight to 21 employees.
Sompo Holdings (Asia) is headquartered in Singapore and Adam’s responsibilities cover both country level and regional. She will be working closely with regional chief operating officer Yasuhiro Sasanuma and the regional digital and branding team. Adam will also be involved in strategic advisory and integrated planning for Sompo’s reputation building, thought leadership, news curation and dissemination across the business including brand development and engagement in Asia Pacific.
Amidst the portfolio expansion, she will continue to be based in Kuala Lumpur, splitting her time between Malaysia and Singapore. Meanwhile, Adam will also continue reporting to Futoshi Hanahara, deputy chief executive officer at Berjaya Sompo Insurance.
Sompo Holdings (Asia) is the holding company for its Asia Pacific entities except Japan. It is also part of Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance which is a member of the SOMPO Holdings, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
