BBH China names Kelly Pon as company CCO

BBH China has named its first-ever female CCO with the promotion of executive creative director Kelly Pon to the role.

Pon's promotion comes following the departure of previous CCO Arthur Tsang who had joined the company (from BBDO Greater China) in 2017.

CEO of BBH China Ng commented, "As a married mother of three, Pon has been a prominent female role model not only to the staff in BBH China but across the BBH offices worldwide. She inspires those around her every day, and I am confident that she will continue to raise the bar in her new role.”

Pon's extensive background includes work for M&C Saatchi and Ogilvy prior to joining BBH Singapore in 2002. In that position worked on regional business, creating memorable campaigns for brands such as Johnnie Walker, Levis,  and Unilever for Asia-Pacific. In 2006, she moved to China as part of the BBH China founding team.

Her brand work with BBH China includes globally run campaigns for LG and Sephora, as well as projects for Audi, Google, Sprite, Shangri-La, and Bose.

Speaking of her appointment Pon said, "This dream role wouldn't have been possible without the inspiring female creatives and leaders in our industry who have paved the way for people like me to step up."
