BBDO Malaysia has appointed former regional head of digital creative at Grab, Lim Wee Ling (pictured), as creative director. According to her LinkedIn, she was with Grab for approximately eight months.
Lim previously worked at BBDO Malaysia as creative group head for about a year, and also helmed similar roles at Lowe Malaysia and Naga DDB Malaysia. She also worked at FCB Malaysia, Leo Burnett Malaysia and Ogilvy Malaysia.
In a statement to A+M, a spokesperson from BBDO said the agency is excited to welcome Lim back to BBDO Malaysia at a time when it is putting creative and digital best practices at the heart of everything it does.
Her appointment comes as former creative director Lee Tak Shune joined Publicis One Malaysia as executive creative director. In his new role, Lee is tasked with overall creative leadership of Publicis Malaysia.
Last year, the agency promoted former creative group head Yusrizal Yusof to associate creative director. Speaking to A+M, the agency said Yusof’s promotion will aid BBDO Malaysia in its rapidly expanding portfolio, with “several new accounts added to the company’s clientele within the past months”. He will also be nurturing and guiding young talents, putting the agency in upwards trajectory.
