BBDO Malaysia names Farrah Harith McPherson as John Teoh's replacement

BBDO Asia has appointed Farrah Harith McPherson to general manager of BBDO Malaysia, effective 24 February. The position was last held by John Teoh who left the role around end last year.McPherson brings more than 17 years’ experience in the market working with some of Malysia’s most iconic brands, as well as heading up agency relationships with major international clients.Most recently, she was client services director at M&C Saatchi Malaysia. During her time with the agency, she worked on new business while leading a diverse portfolio of clients including Malaysia Airlines, Petronas and Volkswagen. Prior to that, she was general manager of local independent agency, Crush Communications, where she successfully acquired key clients such as Daimler Chrysler, RHB Bank and Unilever.Richard Fraser, president BBDO Southeast Asia said; “McPherson is a genuine leader who brings impressive credentials to BBDO Malaysia, along with a proven track record developing long term client partnerships and growing business. Her appointment signals a new and exciting era at BBDO Malaysia and we are delighted to have her on board.”McPherson said, “I'm extremely excited to join the most creative agency network in the world and am looking forward to collaborating with the talented team at BBDO to drive the business forward in Malaysia, and deliver the most creatively compelling and effective work for our clients.”Most recently, Joe Braithwaite, general manager BBDO Singapore, will be transferred within the network to Proximity London, as the managing director. In the meantime, Richard Fraser will assume management responsibilities for the Singapore office.
