Pizza Hut names Bates CHI&Partners Philippines as creative AOR

Pizza Hut has awarded creative duties to Bates CHI&Partners for the Philippines following a three-way pitch. Marketing understands that BBDO Guerrero was the incumbent.Bates CHI&Partners Philippines will be tasked to present a campaign idea for new product launches and steer marketing efforts guided by “Make It Great,” Pizza Hut’s current global advertising slogan and ethos.The agency is currently hard at work on a campaign due to launch in mid-March. This win makes the WPP-owned agency creative AOR for the iconic pizza chain in two countries, in addition to China.“Pizza Hut is an important regional relationship of Bates CHI&Partners. The work we do in driving their business is second to none and we are pleased to be working with our client now in The Philippines," David Mayo, CEO of Bates CHI&Partners.Pizza Hut and its parent company Yum! Brands were all praises, with Teck Huak Lim, COO of Pizza Hut, commenting that Bates CHI&Partners “really understood our brand.”This was echoed by Charmaine Wong, senior marketing director at Yum Restaurants International AFBU, saying that the agency “presented great ideas that brought the brand positioning to life and created many opportunities for consumers to engage with the brand.”
