To celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year, Bata Malaysia has rolled out a new footwear and accessories collection for the entire family.
In a statement to A+M, Bata’s spokesperson said it is working with Chinese social media influencers to appeal to the younger set of urban Chinese consumers, as well as carrying out social media advertising on Facebook and Instagram. A social media contest known as #MoreOngWithBata will also be conducted.
Bata also plans to promote the new collection via print and in-store Chinese New Year decorations. The spokesperson said that the company expects to see a 10% increase in footfall as a result of the new collection.
The ladies’ collection draws inspiration from the delicate femininity and traditional detailing and includes contemporary touches through its collection. Consumers who wish to channel a casual but trendy vibe can also opt to pick from an exclusive range of sneakers, as well as a variety of trendy Marie Claire and Prive handbags.
Meanwhile, Bata opted for a more subtle but timeless design across its men’s range, fearuring shoes with neutral shades from tan and caramel to jet black.
