Axiata showcases the potential of modern technology in heartwarming Raya film

Axiata Group’s Hari Raya film titled “Project Eid” features a technologically-savvy young girl named Adila who uses technology to bring her family closer together.

Partnering with creative agency M&C Saatchi, Project Eid is Axiata’s first Raya film. The telco aims to showcase the fullest potential of modern technology and innovation in creating meaningful, uplifting interactions and experiences across communities, whilst also inspiring and advancing cultural connections for its festive communications in 2019.

The story unfolds as Adila and her family prepare for the last iftar of Ramadan, but is missing Adila’s brother who could not be there due to work commitments. Adila then used her technological skills to program a robot to send over a gift, as well as a message, for her brother in the city.

Project Eid has gotten over 289,466 views on YouTube since its debut on social media on 27 May. It has also garnered positive online responses from Malaysians on its social channels, with netizens commenting that the film is “awesome”, “sweet”, and the “best”.
