Malaysian creative and media agency, Ampersand Advisory has hired Mandy Liew (pictured most right) as its planning director. Prior to this, she was the associate media director at Vizeum until February 2018. During her time at Vizeum, Liew has worked on brands in FMCG such as Mamee Double Decker and Nandoâ€™s.
Reporting to client partner Lee Tse Yoon (pictured second left), Liew is said toÂ strengthen Ampersand Advisory’s senior management on the media side. Lee, with over 22 years of experience, has been managing Fortune 500 media accounts across across corporate, motorsports and retail. BesidesÂ PETRONAS, she also manages a range of clients across FMCG (TESCO, Drypers), banking (Maybank, Alliance Bank) and luxury (BMW, LVMH) sectors.Â Before joining Ampersand Advisory,Â Lee led the digital transformation of Zenith Media, heading its digital media planning and buying function for over three years.
Meanwhile, client partnerÂ Liew Soo Ken (pictured most left) has led large telcos such as Celcom, and managed operations across the entire agency. Her deep understanding of and handsâ€™ on skills in traditional media planning makes her a rare find, said Ampersand Advisory.
Completing the four-member media senior management team is Mandy Chan (pictured second right), who has been the head of performance at Ampersand Advisory for over two years.Â According to the company, Chan was instrumental in Ampersand Advisory winning an award asÂ â€śMedia Agency of the Year 2019â€ť at the Agency of the Year Awards earlier this year. She began her career as a designer in XM Malaysia, and has also worked in outdoor media planning at Kinetic.
