Travel360.com, the new digital expansion of AirAsia’s inflight magazine travel360, in partnership with Malaysian film company We are KIX, has launched a new travel series that aims to inspire people to explore the lesser known islands and beaches around Southeast Asia. This partnership follows its "Adventure Live" campaign last year.Titled "VitaminSEA", the show premiered on travel360.com’s Facebook page in conjunction with ASEAN Day. The series will showcase six amazing yet relatively unknown beach destinations in Southeast Asia served by AirAsia, with videos on Thailand's Pattaya, Cambodia's Sihanoukville and Vietnam's Nha Trang already launched. In a statement to A+M, AirAsia's spokesperson said the series will be promoted through the AirAsia Group and travel360.com social media network. The spokesperson added that the next few episodes will feature beaches in Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. The spokesperson declined to reveal the monetary value invested in the series. At the time of writing, the three videos have garnered an average of 291k views, 4k reacts and 4.8k shares on Facebook. Each episode of VitaminSEA goes beyond the main beaches and hotels to discover empty beaches to enjoy by oneself. In addition, travel360.com will be giving away a pair of free flights to the featured destination every week for six consecutive weeks.“With this beach-themed online travel series, we want to encourage people to go beyond the popular destinations, and give the new beach destinations such as Sihanoukville, Nha Trang and Phu Quoc a chance,” Spencer Lee, head of commercial of AirAsia Malaysia, said.“We always love collaborating with AirAsia and travel360.com on new concepts and ideas. We seem to have the same vision in mind of making travel fun and fresh. VitaminSEA was born when we saw there was no homegrown video content about Southeast Asian islands that show how gorgeous and special it is here. We decided to try our best to sprinkle some magic dust on each island,” Ion Furjanic, director of We are KIX said.Check out the spot here:
