AirAsia gets energised with EQ8

Starting 1 May 2013, AirAsia will offer a new energy drink named EQ8 on board all its Malaysia AirAsia flights (airline code AK).Priced at RM6 per 250ml can, the light sparkling orange and passion-fruit flavoured drink originates from the UK is intended as the perfect ‘pick-me-up' for guests on a flight.Ishsal Ishak, group head of ancillary income at AirAsia, said the ailrine is the first in the region to distribute EQ8.According to FoodBev.com, EQ8 is backed by Tony Fernandes and had recently appointed London agency Biles Inc to refresh its packaging design in April 2013.EQ8 is also sold at select Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons stores in the UK.Photo caption: (From left) EQ8 commercial director Nigel Burton; Ishsal Ishak and EQ8 operations director, Lindsey de Souza.
