7-Eleven and Sanrio partnership rolls out more exclusive products for CNY

7-Eleven has partnered with Sanrio to launch a Chinese New Year campaign, entitled “Blossom in flower season” featuring a series of exclusive Sanrio products.

The campaign aims to present customers with potential ideas for gifts as 7-Eleven continues to leverage its stamp redemption programme and its collaborated collections to drive sales and encourage repeat customers. Following its redemption scheme for ceramic bowls, 7-Eleven has now rolled out a limited edition flower-shaped ceramic plate series, as well as Sanrio glass flasks featuring 3D-characters.

Tradition dictates that during Chinese New Year people bring gifts – such as candy box or wine – when visiting friends and relatives.  With that in mind, 7-Eleven has also rolled out an exclusive characters freebie for gift tin purchases, and a gift tin freebie for liquor purchases. From 23 January onwards, customers can redeem one Sanrio limited edition heat-resistant glass flask for free upon spending $158 on selected gift tins in designated stores.

In a statement to Marketing, 7-Eleven stated, “Learning from our past success case of last year – Line X Le Creuset Coffee Mug – one of our CNY tactics will be an exclusive characters freebie for gift tin purchases. Riding on our stamp redemption program, we designed an exclusive item to delight our customers.”
