4As names 2014 board of directors

The Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of the Philippines (4As) has elected its officers and board of directors for 2014.Norman Agatep, managing director & CCO of Havas Worldwide Manila leads the 4As as president together with Alex Syfu, chief adviser and client relations officer at DM9 JaymeSyfu, as chairman and Jenny Wieneke, division head at Publicis Manila, as vice-president.The rest of the incoming 4As board of directors are listed below:Board SecretaryTitus Arce - Director for Account Management Services, Dentsu PhilippinesTreasurer Meldy Warren - AVP-Account Management, Campaigns & GreyCorporate ComptrollerJohn Lucas - Managing Director, DDB PhilippinesDirectorsCecile Velez - Vice-President/Managing Partner, McCANN WORLDGROUPGolda Roldan - Client Services Director, JWT ManilaPatrick Tolentino - Managing Gallardo & AssociatesThe 4As is currently busy organizing the first Ad Summit Pilipinas, believed to be the successor to the AdCongress of the Advertising Board of the Philippines. The 23rd Ad Congress was originally set last month in Davao City.Publicis Manila CEO Matec Villanueva first revealed Ad Summit Pilipinas during the Kidlat Awards last April, supported by The Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA) and the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas (KBP).AdBoard chair Bienvenido Niles Jr. cancelled the event last July, citing lack of internal support primarily from the exit of its biggest members.From ten members, the Adboard is now down to half. PANA took the lead late last year, followed by 4As and the Advertising Suppliers Association (ASAP) within months. Just last month, the Media Specialists Association of the Philippines (MSAP) and Internet & Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP) also followed suit.(PHOTO: 4A official Facebook fanpage)
