Harty joins OMG to lead Accuen

Matthew Harty, former VP of .Fox Networks has moved across to Omnicom Media Group to head its real-time data and analytics offering, Accuen.Accuen is part of Omnicom Media Group's Annalect Group, a collection of companies which launched globally in October last year to manage digital-data analysis and media buying across digital platforms like Facebook or on Google search.In Asia Annalect Group boasts around 15 employees and Harty will take on the role of general manager, Accuen Asia Pacific.An October 2010 statement from Omnicom said Annalect Group brings together more than 400 global data, digital and analytic experts from across several Omnicom Media Group specialty divisions.Other companies under the group include econometric modeling offering Brand Science, search company Resolution Media its Demand Side Platform trading desk Accuen.The statement added the group will form the future infrastructure of the agency.Barry Cupples, OMG's Asia Pacific CEO, said companies like Accuen will "dramatically" change the way media is bought, sold and monitored.Cupples added in Asia he expected the group to find similar levels of growth to the US division, adding many clients were already using its services. But he said there was still some way to go."We are in a region where change is not that easy," he said. "It's a huge undertaking and we expect it to roll out to every client," Cupples added.
