F&N’s beverage brand 100PLUS has come on board as the official hydration partner of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018, marking the first time an isotonic drink brand is partnering a football tournament as an official regional sponsor, the press statement read.
100PLUS will be able to use the AFF Suzuki Cup event mark across its marketing platforms and market co-branded isotonic drinks at the tournament. The drink will also be prominently featured on official tournament collateral as well as pitch-side advertising boards across the match venues located in 11 ASEAN countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
Lee Meng Tat, CEO, non alcoholic beverages, Fraser and Neave Limited, said partnering the AFF Suzuki Cup is a “natural fit” for the brand as it is a long term advocate of sports and encourages local communities across Southeast Asia to adopt an active lifestyle.
Dato’ Sri Azzuddin Ahmad (Retired), general secretary of the ASEAN Football Federation, said over the years, 100PLUS has helped to cultivate an eco-system for athletes and local communities to flourish. “We applaud the brand’s dedication in developing sport across the region and are undeniably proud to partner such an established brand. We are confident that this year’s AFF Suzuki Cup will provide a fantastic platform for 100PLUS to create meaningful touch-points with fans all across Southeast Asia,” he said.
Among the list of sponsors and supporters for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 are Men’s Biore, Yanmar, AirAsia, Pinaco and Grand Sport.
