Global digital publisher Ziff Davis has launched its lead generation business in Singapore, in a bid to cater to increasing requests from technology and B2B customers in Asia Pacific for a local presence. The move comes after the company made its B2B lead generation products available to the Australia market last year.
Regional director Michael O’Donnell will be managing the local team and liaising with London-based global business development director Ameer Alavy. O’Donnell has more than 20 years of international experience working across multi-media platforms in various geographies and environments. He assumed the role of regional director after relocating to Singapore last year, following five years at Australia’s Fairfax Media. During his time there, O’Donnell, headed up commercial responsibility for the news, sport, entertainment and lifestyle verticals.
In a statement to Marketing, a spokesperson for Ziff Davis said its closest competitors are IDG, TechTarget and CBSi. The CEO of Ziff Davis is Vivek Shah, while international B2B lead generation is led by Marcella Williams Davies.
Ziff Davis has approximately 2,000 employees worldwide, with 100 staff members specialising in B2B lead generation. The spokesperson added that its clients are “leading global technology vendors” and it is looking to expand into other markets such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and Thailand. The company’s strategy is to replicate its “highly successful” European business into key areas in Asia Pacific, Middle East, South America and Africa.
