Zenith Media Malaysia’s senior general manager Agha Zohaib (pictured) has stepped down, after being with the company for more than three years.
Zohaib first joined the agency in June 2014, and was in charge of the business strategy and development while handling major accounts such as Maybank and Celcom. He also reported to Gerald Miranda, CEO of Zenith Media Malaysia.
Prior to that, he was the strategy director for Havas Media since 2013. The role also saw him moving from Karachi in which he was Mindshare’s head of department handling major clients including PepsiCo, Kraft Foods, Shell and GlaxoSmithKline – to be based out of Kuala Lumpur. At Havas, Zohaib was actively involved in new business development across the region.

Earlier this year, Sandeep Joseph, head of strategy and digital at Zenith Malaysia, also left the company to start his own consultancy. He collaborated with Tan Sri Vincent Lee and Trapper Media Group to launch Ampersand Advisory, a digital-centred consultancy that provides clients with business solutions in data, media and content. In March, Zenith Singapore hired Melissa Lapeyre as regional digital director in a bid to expand its regional businesses.
Most recently, Zenith Media Malaysia tied up with marketing technology venture Goals101 to leverage on its purchase-based intelligence. This is to help clients and brands optimise marketing spends through a more targeted approach.
