ZenRooms is eyeing bigger growth in the Southeast Asia budget hotel sector by expanding operations into four new countries – Thailand, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Philippines.
The budget hotel has seen success within Indonesia, assisting thousands of travelers on short and long stays within the country, the company said.
Nathan Boublil, co-founder of ZenRooms, added: “Following hundreds of excellent reviews posted online by our guests, customer satisfaction at ZenRooms has fortunately been high. This geographic expansion is a logical next step for us.”
In Thailand, it claims to be one of the top five hotel companies, by number of rooms, across Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya and other locations.
In Singapore, following months of carefully selecting hotel partners, it now has a presence Little India, East Coast and the Central Business District.
Kiren Tanna, co-founder of ZenRooms, said, “Singapore is key as the island is a crossroad for lots of professionals touring Asia and tourists staying for a few days. The Singaporean market is clearly lacking what we offer: budget hotels you can book with no hesitation, for short and long stays.”
The company sees Sri Lanka as one of the fastest growing tourist destinations worldwide, and is targeting presence in locations such as Colombo, Kandy and Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia. In the Philippines, ZenRooms is available in Manila.
