Zalora Malaysia has embarked on its second online corporate social responsibility initiative called "Zalora Wears Pink" in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month along with MAKNA (National Cancer Council) throughout the month of October 2012.Throughout the month, RM1 from every pink product purchased on zalora.com.my will be donated to MAKNA. Customers can also opt to donate RM2 online as well. Apart from donations, MAKNA's official merchandise, which includes JomBotak and limited edition Pink Ribbon T-shirts, will be available for purchase on Zalora."We have been privileged to work with another great non-profit organization and with the support of Malaysian celebrities, like Aznil Hj Nawawi, Serena C, Dennis Lau, Vanessa Chong, Pamela Chong and Ami Schaheera one of the breast cancer heroes; we anticipate an even better and bigger response," said Leow Wee Jonn, managing director/co-founder.To value Zalora's most loyal customers, there will be an invite-only Zalora - MAKNA workshop to be held on 3 November, offering interactive cancer awareness exhibition, general health test, clinical breast examination, counseling, donation box and Zalora first and exclusive offline "cash and carry" shopping experience.Last July/August 2012, Zalora Malaysia raised over RM10,000 in cash and clothing donations for OrphanCARE Malaysia, a non-profit and non-governmental organisation that aims to give every orphan and abandoned baby the love, care and security of a family.
