Online shopping mall Zalora and Universal Music Malaysia have struck up a partnership to expand their reach into Malaysia’s music and online retail sectors.
To promote Justin Bieber’s studio album ‘Believe’, Universal is offering is Beiber fans a range of exclusive offerings via the Zalora site, including a Zinepack of limited edition CDs and a 76 page magazine.
Zalora will also introduce a line of Bieber merchandise including t-shirts and DVDs which will be on sale online.
Leow Wee Jonn, Zalora Malaysia co-founder and managing director said the site is expanding its lifestyle based catalogue to more than just clothing and accessories.
“Zalora Malaysia’s collaboration with Universal Music Malaysia is the start of a great partnership with entertainment and lifestyle brands,” Leow said.
Universal Music Malaysia general manager Loan Cheong added the collaboration allows the company to expand its distribution channel.
“Customers can choose to get their hands on highly coveted and limited edition items online, at the comfort of their own home, regardless of their location,” Cheong said.
As Zalora continues to promote the offering via its website, Facebook and Twitter pages, Universal Music will run a cross promotion on the album availability with its TVC carrying a tag-on of the Bieber products’ availability at Zalora.
