Rarely have we seen a cosmetic brand which has the guts to put an 80-year-old celebrity at the center of its marketing plans, but the outcome is stunning. In a push to promote its spring lip gloss collection "Pop Water", YSL Beaute has partnered up with AllRightsReserved for the first time on a promotional campaign "Pop Up Your Lips", leading with an exhibition that will house a group of 19 celebrity portraits taken from the hands of renown photographer Leslie Kee.[gallery link="file" ids="94064,94044,94063,94060,94053,94049,94051,94061,94052,94048,94046,94047,94054,94056,94058,94059,94045,94062,94055"]https://vimeo.com/126448936The concept "Pop Up Your Lips" is literal. From 1 May to 3 May, the three days exhibition will run with a pop-up store at Soundwill Plaza II – Midtown at Causeway Bay, where participants can take pictures in a photo booth wearing the new YSL lipstick. Each day, the first 200 participants will receive a tailor-made YSL lip stamp via a laser-cutting process based on the photographs taken."It's been two years since YSL has made a turn to become a digital-driven brand," Wendy Tang, public relations manager at YSL Beaute Hong Kong, told Marketing."The YSL brand has a long legacy of love and sharing; for example, the founder Yves Saint Laurent used to hand-draw postcards for his friends. To honour this spirit, this campaign links to a charity associated with children with life-threatening medical conditions."For each post on social media and each #YSLPOPUPYOURLIPS, YSL will donate HK$5 to Make-A-Wish Foundation. The campaign is supported by print execution handled by YSL Beaute in-house media team.
