Y&R promotes Buenaventura to CEO

Y&R Southeast Asia has promoted chief operating officer Mary Buenaventura as its new chief executive officer for Y&R Philippines. Chiqui Lara (right) stays on as president of the local office.Prior to joining Y&R in 2002, Buenaventura (left) worked at Burson Marsteller. She brings to the role vast marketing experience with a diverse roster of top brands which include Novartis, Nortel Networks, Monsanto, Pepsi, Unilever, Kimberly Clark, Inbisco, Boehringer, Pacual Laboratories Corporate, Colgate-Palmolive, Chevron, United Health Group and Accenture.She is also currently a panel officer of the Advertising Standards Council of the Philippines and representative in the Philippine Association of Advertising Agencies.“We are delighted to announce Mary’s appointment as Chief Executive Officer of Y&R Philippines, and glad that Chiqui remains on board as President for the coming year.
