XM Gravity has appointed Nanda Ivens to assume the role of chief executive officer, succeeding Kevin Mintaraga, who moves into the role of chairman.Nanda, who has served as the company’s chief operating officer since 2012, will now assume wider day to day management responsibilities for XM Gravity’s operations, which include three digital agencies, two digital PR units, and a digital media agency.Mintaraga, who plans to start up a new company outside the digital advertising industry, will continue to oversee the agency’s financial and human capital development as chairman.“I am an entrepreneur at heart, and the chairman role will give me the freedom to pursue another project out of the field -yet allow me to remain very much connected with XM Gravity. I will still be involved with the company, which will continue to be an important focus for me,” Mintaraga said.“Nanda is a talented and natural leader, and I am confident he will be able to take XM Gravity to the next level. He has been working very closely with Kevin and has already taken over the reins, to a large degree, over the last year,” said Paul Soon, CEO of XM Asia Pacific.Mintaraga, who cofounded the company, formerly named Magnivate, in March 2008, has led the agency through a period of stellar growth. Within the period of five years, the company has also grown from six employees to over 150 and been forming strong relationships with top multinational brands such as XL Axiata, Unilever, Nestle, Friesland Campina, and Johnson & Johnson.Recently, XM Gravity also expanded its management team with several new hires to bolster up its team.
