Following the launch of its regional offices, GroupM Wavemaker has appointed Rose Huskey (pictured right), formerly chief client officer at Maxus Asia Pacific, will lead the Global Client Solutions hub based in Singapore.
Prior to the appointment, Huskey held the role of chief client officer at Maxus APAC since October last year. In the role, she reported to Ajit Varghese, CEO Maxus Asia Pacific, and also worked with the APAC management team. She was previously head of client leadership, Asia and worked with clients such as L’Oréal, Unicharm, Jetstar, Huawei, Subaru and UPS across all APAC markets.
Prior to joining the Maxus regional team in Singapore, Huskey was managing director of Maxus Vietnam (from 2011-2015). During that time she led multiple campaigns for L’Oréal, Wrigley, InBev and Dumex, to name a few. She has also held stints at OMD, Future Shop and other companies in Canada.
Meanwhile, Allison Coley (pictured left), former managing director at MEC Singapore will lead the Hong Kong hub. She took on the role of managing director for both MEC Singapore and MEC Global Solutions Asia Pacific divisions in January this year, taking over from then-MD Sharon Soh and Global Solutions MD Connie Chan. Chan took on a new role as chief client officer for APAC.
According to a press statement, both leads will be providing client leadership that is consistent and collaborative across the two hubs. Meanwhile, Wavemaker Singapore has opened 60 led by managing director Desh Balakrishnan, formerly managing director of Maxus Singapore. Other markets including Malaysia will go live locally as the merger completes in each country, to be finalised by January 2018.
The new agency was created following the merger of MEC and Maxus this year. Major global clients include L’Oréal, Vodafone, Marriott, Colgate-Palmolive and Paramount.
Wavemaker officially opens today in markets such as Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, China and Vietnam.
