Watsons on the hunt for social media agency

Personal care brand A.S Watsons is currently on the lookout for a social media agency to undertake the management of its social media platforms, and also develop a crisis communications strategy for social media.According to a brief seen by Marketing, the appointed agency will manage and monitor social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat. This includes acknowledging and directing queries and feedback to the designated customer service channels, manage media buy and schedule social media posts and monitor and track contests.The agency will also develop content and creative, copy writing and engage in fan recruitment across all social channels. This includes event coverage, photos and video posts including 360 videos. The brand's focus next year is to move away from tactical contents and more on relevant content creation in the health and beauty segment to engage Millennial consumers.A crisis communications plan is also to be developed by the chosen agency, this is to prevent identity threats, getting a social media identity validation badge for authenticity and creating a line of communications during times of hijacking.Marketing has reached out to Watsons for a comment.
