WATCH Skittles creates bizarre mockumentary for ad

Candy brand Skittles has partnered up with BBDO Toronto for its latest video that was directed by Conor Byrne.Fashioned as a mockumentary, titled "STRUCK by a Rainbow", the video follows a man who is entirely covered in Skittles after being struck by a formidable rainbow. As morbid and disturbing as the 3:36 minute clip may be (he drops Skittles everywhere!), it speaks of coping in times of adversity, which is a common theme that runs through the brand's campaign videos. In fact, as the video comes to a close, the man says: "I am a man made of Skittles and there's nothing wrong with that." As he exchanges a kiss with his wife, he adds: "Life is sweet, for me anyway. Who can say that everyday when they wake up?"The video first debuted on Skittles' official YouTube page on 7 December and has garnered over 27,000 views thus far.Watch "STRUCK by a Rainbow" below:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Zv-ez_AYWcCREDITSClient: SkittlesSpot: "Struck by a Rainbow"Agency: BBDO, TorontoExecutive Creative Director: Carlos MorenoAssociate Creative Directors: Chris Booth, Joel PylypiwProducer: Aimee DeParolisDirector: Conor ByrneProduction Company: The Corner Store FilmsExecutive Producer: Susi PattersonProducer: Tyler ByrneDirector of Photograph: Robert ScarboroughEditing Company: Saints Editorial TorontoEditor: Griff HendersonAssistant Editor: Sara WindrimAudio: Greyson Matthews, TorontoPostproduction: The Vanity, TorontoTransfer: Alter Ego, TorontoCasting Director: Michael StevensonWritten by Prasanthi Ram
