Independent communications agency Waggener Edstrom is changing its name to WE.
A statement from the agency said the new name and look shows how the agency has transformed over time to “better harness the power of the collective WE – its clients, people, partners and influencers.”
“This evolution has been underway for quite some time,” said Matt Lackie (pictured), executive VP of WE Asia Pacific.
“What you see today is a fresh set of assets to better reflect who we are at our core and all the hard work that has been underway in our own business transformation.”
Over the past couple years, WE has focused on building out key parts of its business and has seen its APAC operation benefit.
WE’s Asia business grew 8% in the past year, including double digit growth in India, China and Singapore. Much of this growth has come from the agency’s insight and analytics and creative services group.
“We’ve built strong momentum around our defined point of view on what communications can do for brands that are undergoing disruption,” Lackie added.
“Since the beginning, clients have come to us – and continue to choose us today – because we help them navigate change, using the power of storytelling to drive impact. The best part about this transformation is that it’s aligned to who we have always been.”
