W Asia has appointed Hilary Davies (pictured) as its new managing director of the Singapore office. She reports and replaces Annabel Fox, who has assumed a new role of group managing director for Asia Pacific. Following the appointment, Davies will be tasked to focus on bringing leadership, as well as strategic guidance to the Singapore business.Davies joins W with a wealth of experience in the consumer and corporate space. According to her LinkedIn, Davies took on the role of associate director of Grayling prior to her appointment. She has spent over six years in Singapore, working with brands from Visa to British Airways. According to W Asia, more information will be revealed at a later time."We’re really excited to be bringing Davies on board. We were very impressed with her strategic yet entrepreneurial approach, which runs core to W’s DNA, and believe her skills will help take W Singapore to the next stage of its growth," Fox, W group MD of APAC, said.Over the past few years, W Asia has steadily been growing its remit. Earlier this month, Travelodge Asia had appointed the agency to develop its brand positioning, as the top choice for "urban travellers" following its rapid regional expansion. This saw the agency being tasked to create engaging brand activations that go beyond tradition hotel PR.Additionally, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts had also picked the agency to build a creative campaign, which includes strategic partnerships and compelling storytelling for 11 of its properties across Southeast Asia. This includes Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur, which is expected to be launched in mid-2018.Other brand accounts under W’s portfolio include Moët Hennessy Diageo, Bang & Olufsen, Princess Yachts and Marc Jacobs Beauty. W Asia also recently launched its Enterprise division, a specialist arm of the agency established to fuse business communications with more creative thinking, serving a growing list of digital and ecommerce clients from foodpanda to Zuji Singapore.
