Vocanic appoints new CEO

Vocanic Singapore has appointed Shreeniwas V Iyer (pictured) as its new chief executive officer. Iyer was previously chief technology officer of the agency and has been with the agency for over five years.He will be responsible for the agency’s operations, growth strategy, partnerships, talent management and client satisfaction across all of Vocanic markets.As CTO, he headed a team of engineers and was responsible for development and technology. Iyer helped the agency expand into four new markets and led pre-sales engagement, and managed stakeholders in key Vocanic successes.He has had prior experience at Trilogy and Yahoo under his belt, along with over a decades worth of experience in building and operating Internet products.Vocanic's former founder and CEO Ian McKee left the agency in March this year. He stepped down from the role two years after GroupM completed the majority acquisition of the social media firm and will remain based in Singapore.“With over 12 years of experience in Internet products, with the last few years in Vocanic EXCO team, Shreeni was the natural choice to take on this leadership role,” Puneet Arora, CEO of GroupM Singapore and Philippines, said.
