VML Singapore tasked to revamp digital assets of local museums

The Asian Civilisations Museum and the Peranakan Museum have appointed VML Singapore to revamp their digital platforms. The museums are looking to develop their digital presence, as they continue to drive their mandate of growing understanding and appreciation for Singapore’s heritage.VML will be leading the platform strategy, which includes consumer journeys, user experience, interaction design, and front-end development of both museum websites. The agency’s approach includes the use of interactive displays and digestible information that allows for easier discovery of museum content. Xtremax will be working to deliver the backend design and technology solutions for the websites.On the rationale behind the partnership – the Asian Civilisations Museum and Peranakan Museum said they are constantly looking at best practices to stay connected and relatable with the public, sharing understanding and appreciation for Singapore’s heritage.Digital is part of that strategy, with the potential to take the Peranakan Museum and Asian Civilisations Museum experience beyond their physical venues. Both museums will be leveraging on the capabilities of VML’s Platforms and Experiences teams, and are committed to building a seamless experience for potential users.Tripti Lochan, chief executive officer, VML Southeast Asia and India said, “It is an absolute honor to be appointed as ACM and Peranakan Museum’s digital partner.
