VLT expands with new hires

Malaysia - VLT (formerly Integricity Interactive) has made two new hires to boost its delivery of digital innovation and user experience (UX) to clients, a move that comes shortly after setting up as a new full-service digital agency following its split from Integricity.VLT has appointed former YTL Innovation lead Andrew Tan (right) as director of innovation and Izwan Ismail (left) as UX practice lead.Andrew is tasked with championing a soon-to-be-announced long-term VLT innovation initiative and leading innovation thought leadership in the agency.After YTL, Andrew went ahead to introduce Social Innovation Camp to Asia, a global initiative that brings together software developers and designers with people who understand a social problem to build web and mobile solutions to social challenges.During his current role, Andrew will still continue to spearhead Social Innovation Camp Asia.Ismail, on the other hand, comes from CodeAr.my where he was lead UX designer and also co-founded ThatApp, a sex education mobile app start-up targeted at teenagers.He also champions UX Malaysia, a community of user experience designers and practitioners, which he founded in 2012.In his new role, Ismail will lead the development of UX thinking within the agency to increase the effectiveness of VLT's digital work.Andrew reports to VLT CEO Warren Tan while Ismail reports to both Andrew and Warren Tan.Speaking on the new appointments, Warren says that the two have demonstrated leadership by being champions of start-up innovations, having delivered work that will help VLT provide digital solutions to colleagues, clients and the industry as a whole.Some of VLT's clients include include Astro, Hilton, Kimberly-Clark and Samsung among others.
