Vizeum Malaysia has appointed Wong Siew Wai as its chief executive officer.
With more than 23 years in the advertising industry, Wong (pictured) joined the network in 2008. In the last seven years, he has worked alongside with Andy Miller, who recently left the company, to build Vizeum from a start-up to a team with 50 members. Wong was last general manager at Vizeum.
Margaret Lim, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Malaysia said: “Wong has proven himself as a leader and having understudied the role for the past seven years, he will ensure a smooth transition into the next phase of the business. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Andy Miller for mentoring Wong, and investing his time and relentless effort to grow Vizeum with the right talents and recognitions it has achieved in Malaysia”.
Wong said: “Vizeum in Malaysia has established itself as a challenger agency. As we approach our 10th year in operations, it is time to level up to take our local success to a regional and global platform. Our people are equipped with the right skills and passion to succeed, and we have the right resources at our disposal; ranging from our proprietary tools like the Consumer Connection Study (CCS) and Convergence Planning, which will help local and our regional clients grow their value they derive from media significantly.”
Wong will be reporting to Lim in his new role.
