Vince Viola steps down as head of Cathay Pacific Central Team

After 14 years as head of the McCann Cathay Pacific Central Team, Vince Viola is stepping down from the role.Viola will remain in Hong Kong until the end of the year, but will relocate back to Australia with his family to assume a new role with McCann Australia in February 2014.The agency said Cathay Pacific executives have been working closely with McCann to find a successor. An announcement is expected soon."This move is a bitter sweet moment in my life,” Viola said.“I've had some amazing times in Hong Kong, made some life long relationships both personally and professionally and ridden the storm through some real lows and real highs while living in this great city over the last 14 years.”His announcement follows a number of changes to the Cathay Pacific team with the appointment of Martin Lever as executive creative director and more recently Brandon Cheung and Christopher Howard to oversee the digital business, as Marketing revealed in August.
